Engine Oil leak, Front Bearing

Is to oil to thin, is the return trough full of sand, am I reving the engine at too high of an RPM, is the oil pump over pumping? Or is it the unlikely outcome of the 95 year old seal material worn. This is my newest rebuilt engine - it is yet another model J w/metal timing gears engine serial number around 36xxx. . . ?
