They are usually painted red.  Think I have
seen one that was yellow.

Hello Hudson Members.

On a 29 Hudson engine oil float gauge.   Is the bottom at the
top is it painted a color??

I am not sure if mine had paint on it or not.   I think it
would show up better is painted??
