ZDDP additives to 29 SS engine oil

Evening all,

I also have a small RV that has an Onan gas generator. I came across a long discussion regarding the available engine oils available today and their lack of sufficient zinc and more needed by the older cams, lifters and other high friction points.

The Onan factory recommends an oil that is a much more old style oil having a higher percent of Zinc and Phosphors. Reading more on this I find a major recommendation by many to add a ZDDP oil boost to any gas car 1988 or older.

Has the group settled on a "best" oil made for our 20-30's Hudson Super Six engines?
