Re:

Rob, yes, I rebuilt that car from pieces scattered all over the city where

Scott's grandfather lived. He had farmed the work out to various people,

and died before any of it was completed. It is a 1928 standard sedan, and

the bumpers were fitted as an after-market acceesory. There were no

factory bumpers before 1929. There are a number of features on your car

which are unique, as I converted it to left hand drive. The radiator shell

was painted black when it left here, as it was so thin it was not able to be

plated. The light switch is on the dash, with a foot dipswitch, as I did not

have an original centre boss assembly with the switch at the bottom of the

column. I agree, it is a great car, and drives really well. The

transmission is a little noisy, but I did not have any better gears to put

in.

Geoff

Hi Geoff ,I purchased the Hudson Sedan from Scott Bicknell and his father

from Hartford Wisconsin which is near Milwaukee. The title said it was a

1927 Hudson that was imported from NewZealand. I'm sure it is a1929 Hudson

though. I believe that John Bicknell's father emigrated here from NewZealand

and had the car shipped here. I was told that you worked on the car. It's a

great car! Scott said that since his grandfather passed away the Hudson

pretty muc just sat and they didn't drive it. They felt the car should go to

some one who would use it and take very good care of it. It's a two tone

green with black fenders. I'll send a picture as soon as I can.

Sincerely

Rob Ziehwein

Hi,I hope everyone is well. I have another question about my

29 Hudson sedan

I've recently aquired. It has a different looking front

and rear bumper from

the originals. The front one is a real cowcatcher. Since my

Hudson came from

NewZealand I was wondering if that was something that was

put on the cars

that were exported down under.

As

I remember if removal of the sender is desired I had to

drop

the tank.
