Rear Axle Thrust Buttons

Is it still possible to buy rear axle thrust buttons for the ends of the shafts for 1928 Essex? 


Is there an alternative that is known to work?


At a recent club event it was suggested that these buttons were once available however he could not remember where or who had some.
