oil pan drop
OK, here we go. I decided to lower the oil pan on my '23 to see what the troughs look like ( Geoff: sit down for this post).I haven't looked since I bought it fifteen or twenty years ago. The old codger I bought it from said something about having done that but he has gone to the great Hudson salvage yard in the sky. Besides looking at the troughs, plasticgaugeing the bearings, cleaning the pan and fixing the oil gauge float what else should I do before closing up the wound?
The operators manual says to pour oil down between the valves to fill the oil troughs. has anyone done this? I thought it would be best to fill the troughs in the pan and then install the pan to the block.
