First Start Up Info

OK, looks like Saturday is the day I try to bring the engine to life. I bought it as a runner, but never heard it run so cross your fingers.
Here's what I'm planning to do. Please advise!
I'll connect the 6V positive to the coil.
The negative will be grounded to the engine.
I'll use a 12v on the starter only.
I will connect a fuel line from a gravity fed tank to the carb.
What do I do with the vacuum from the manifold? Let it vent, or plug it?
My carb is set to factory specs so I hope that is a good starting point.
Am I missing anything?

PS I removed that shutoff from the manifold....
