1927 Hudson Coach in Its Native Habitat

I'm way behind on my Shorpying and am slowly working my way through the backlog looking for gems. Here is one of the best yet, a great shot of a 1927 Hudson Coach in a typical street setting.

The foreground action with the traffic cop and the lady is almost certainly posed but I'd bet that the Hudson just happened along at the right time. I'd sure like to have one of those traffic signals in the shop now!

Often we try to pose our vintage crocks in period settings hoping for that "time travel moment" but they very rarely come off as we hope. Too often our cars look like an animal imprisoned in a zoo, out of place and not too happy about it. This picture is more like nature photography where the human goes into the wild and brings us back shots of the animals as they are in their native habitat. Shorpy gives us something like that with these wonderful pictures.
