Introduction

Hi, I am a fairly recent lurker, but first time poster. First of all , a very big thank you for letting me join your group and a huge thank you for the mine of information i have already gleaned by searching these forums. i recently purchased a 1929 Hudson which was restored many years ago by Bob Powell in Newcastle Australia, I must say he did a fantastic job and the car is a credit to him. The car really hasn't been used that much if at all as far as i can tell for the past couple of years and I am in the middle of "recommissioning' it. The battery and spark plugs have been replaced and I have new leads to be made up winging their way from across the pond. The main issue is the generator isn't charging due to the cutout not pulling in (i swapped for a different one, similar issue) so that will take some fiddling. In the mean time i have replaced the clutch fluid (Thanks to Les P for his detailed help) and will change the engine and gearbox oil in the coming week. The car starts well but is running very rich (one ignition lead is shot) so once the new leads arrive, I'll endeavour to time it and sort out the fuelling.

I am based in western Brisbane QLD and I would love to catch up with other hudson owners to chew the fat about all things Hudson :-)

Andrew
