Metal Spare Cover on 29

When I bought my car years back it came with a metal spare tire cover like in the photo. I have the 29 Std Sedan with wood spokes. When the car went into the Body and Paint this cover was included, cleaned up, painted Seal Brown (IM51) and its rings chromed. At the time I was new to the Hudson and believe it was for this car. 

I have yet to see any 29 era Hudsons use this type of spare cover. The pic is of a 30 Nash, 8 cyc I believe. So I'm wondering if the cover is not for the 29,  in which case I'll just sell it off.
