Back to the oil pump
I pulled the distributor and tower and disassembled it today. Apparently the lower ball did find its way out of its place. The result is a bent oil pump shaft. It was locked solid. The distributor moves freely now and I can't see any stripped gears. The generator/water pump shaft is still rotating so I'm hoping a replacement oil pump shaft will fix things. Does anyone have a spare? Zeke
