Carb rebuild

Does anyone in the US have a recommendation on a shop who can correctly rebuild carbs?  I'll double check with my mechanic, but I assume it's the original Marvel VB-10-669 listed in the 1928 spec manual.  I'd like a second opinion from another shop or two, as their quote to send it off is $800+ and labor.
