29 Sedan Clutch Pedal Large 4 Loop Coil Spring - no play before cont

Evening Guys,

I'm doing a terrible job describing this question. But here goes,

Finished installing pedal assembly and noticed that the clutch pedal with its large 4-5 loop spring rests further toward the enginne than does the brake pedal. and appears to pushing the clutch pedal into throwout contact, gently but in contact. I hand pulled out, the clutch pedal also can come toward the drivers  into a parallel position with the brake

The brake has a stout return spring but the clutch has only that large coil loop spring.

Is this correct or am I missing something?
