29 Cowl Vent Bug Scoop

I was fitting the cowl vent seal and with the vent removed thought about installing window screen to keep the bugs out. I was not able to find anyway that 
would permit a screen to filter the incoming air.  Has anyone got a tried method except just don't open the vent.

I can only imaging the summer night drives with the vent open bringing the insects right to the front seat passengers.Jack
