Mechanical to Electronic Speed Signal

On another forum I was lurking around trying to help this other rodder (and myself) and found out some information I thought I'd share with you hot rodders.

Many of you know I am putting a Heads Up Display in the 49.




Since I'm using older 454/TH400 the TH400 didn't have a VSS signal output to hook into the HUD computer.

I'm sure there are other manufacturers that make these units but Dakota Digital has a VSS pulse generator for under 50.00 that hooks into a standard speedo cable output and generates the VSS signal.

SEN-01-1 - 8K pulse generator with adaptor cable for GM transmissions with cable drive speed output.

The cool thing I noticed was that they also make a "pass-thru" device so that you could still run your analog speedo but have the VSS signal for additional goodies or your own Heads Up Display to augment your mechanicals!
