Dash Wood Graining

Hello,  I am looking for some pictures of 1947 Commodores that have wood grained dash boards  My husband is restoring a 1947 Commodore Super Six and is currently at the stage of painting.  He wants me to wood grain the dash, glove box and window trim but I am having a hard time finding any pictures of our car that would have had this done.  

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated as to what product or tools would be best to use.  I have been on You Tube watching videos so have a pretty good Idea of how to do, just having a hard time finding any tool and products to work with.
