Radio install

Try removing the speaker, it gives you more room. The old Hudson techs also had a tool that pushed all the pushbuttons in simultaneously to give even more room. You'd have to make your own tool, of course.0

Speaker is out. Will give that a try

Yep Speaker is the way to do it, not the heater box!0

I replaced the radio in my Super Wasp a few years ago with a functioning one. I removed the speaker and still had difficulty installing it. I seem to recall what did the trick was positioning the radio with the knobs and buttons facing towards the driver's side and then rotating the radio 90 degrees under the dash to fit it in. Went in real easy after that. Good luck!

Still no joy. Very tight fit.0

I believe that I put my radio in with the knobs up and dropped it down then rotated it forward and into the slot. I am not sure if the Wasp and Hornet dashes are different depths however.0
