Engine Identification Help

Can anyone shed some light on this engine serial number I23I33 ? Looks like a 1953 262, but this does not look like the car matching serial number that is typically found on the R/H front side of engine.

What is the block casting Number? It is somewhat hidden by the distributor.
304299 is for 51-53. 310110 is for 1954.

Thanks, I will check the casting number this evening.0 -
Above the casting number is a casting date. It will have a letter followed by two or three numbers. The letter is the month. A=January, B= February, C= March, etc. The last number is the year. 8=48, 9=49, 0=50, 1=51, etc. The numbers in between are the day of the month. Example: F173= June 17, 1953. Or B31= February 3, 1951.0

OK so it appears to be manufactured December 27, 1950. So shouldn't it have a 5A or 6A in the stamping on the R/H front of engine for a 1951 model that used the 262? I would assume that Hudson built spare engines, could this have been one?0
