Does anyone have a print-out of the Clifford method to adjust valve tappets COLD?

    can I ask about a cam thrust washer. Does it have one? 1930 super six cam is in and all new springs. Is it just the chain that prevents cam forward movement?  cyl. three lifter wont let the cam go far but its damaged by then
