1932 Hudson Shift Knob
Looks like I have found all the parts I need to restore the freewheeling linkage on my 1932. Since the rubber shift knob is long gone I am going to mold and cast a new one. So my question. Was the rubber knob a hard rubber or somewhat softer like the 1937. My 37 is somewhat squishy but my 28 Essex is very hard. My thought is it might be as hard as the modern urethane bushings.
Any thoughts would be helpful. I only what to cast this thing once. As it has a steel insert.
Thanks Jay

That is not the shifter knob for the freewheeling setup. It does not have the 1 inch hole in the middle for the push button. Also is the wrong shape according to the parts book.
