Brake noises
I was recently preping my 54 Super Wasp for it's proper drive and while I was moving the car, the brakes were making a screeching noise when I applied them. Could it be caused by brake shoes that need to be replaced or could be something else?

Stating the obvious - you will have to remove the drums to see. Also need more information is the screeching noise when thecar is moving or stationary?0

The noise does happen when the car is moving
I was reversing the car out of my garage to do a ride and the noise does happen only when I apply the brakes. It also does the same when moving forward.

Have the drums had time to form rust on the braking surfaces? It might just need to stop the car a few times to smooth over any rust.0

You can see the lining thickness through the inspection on the periphery of the drum. If it looks okay then it is probably just abit of rust that will burr off when driving.0
