question concerning exhaust system

I have obtained a NOS exhaust system that I would like to fit to my 39, Number on Muffler is 153056. This is for 1937 cars model 70,71,72 and 78. According to the parts book. However looks like it will fit my 92. Models 70,71, 72 and 78 are Terraplane cars so will this fit a Hudson two years newer?

    The Hudson 1950 interchange manual says that 153056 fits only 70, 71, 72 and no other years.  However, it might be that the difference between the 1937-1939 muffler is some minor modification you could make yourself.  Maybe someone will jump in here with a suggestion.

    it looks as thought the pipes will fit as I have set them in place underneath the car and all the bends are right but the muffler itself is shorter that what I have but mine is aftermarket
