Con Rod Bolts for 1934 254 cu in - Modern Equivalent ?

I'm about to reinstall my pistons and rods after a honing job but the threads on the con rod bolts don't look too good.
Has anyone who has rebuilt an engine like mine found NOS original bolts anywhere or used modern equivalent con rod
bolts ?
I'm drawing a blank with trying to find an English supplier of bolts of the right dimensions and specification.

I think we've got the problem solved.
We've decided to use 3/8" x 2 1/2" High Tensile UNF hex bolts.
They'll have to be shortened slightly and a bit ground off the side of the hex heads.
We'll be using Philidas all-metal lock nuts.
