You want to put sealed beams on the Terraplane?
If so, are you aware that both halogen and LED headlight bulbs are now available, which fit right into the original sockets in the same way the old incandescent bulbs did? And they're available in six volts.0 -
Yah the sealed beam adapters arent a good option .Is there anyone in the club that sells the bulbs and reflectors ? im converted to 12 v0

Here is but one company that sells halogen and LED headlight lamps for vintage cars, in 6 or 12 volt, with the "American prefocus" base (the flat, round flange with the three holes in it). These will go right into your socket. http://www.classicandvintagebulbs.com/ Here's another (in England, but I've bought LED's from them): http://www.dynamoregulatorconversions.com/online-shop-for-led-bulbs-and-light-boards-etc.php There are others. Google around.
Of course, besides changing the bulbs, you would do well to:
1. silver plate your reflectors
2. solder a ground wire into the sockets and run it to the frame.
3. install a relay (a double relay is better, one for high- and one for low-beam) so you can run power directly to your headlights and not through miles of bad wires and corroded switches.
I ran halogens for years on my '37 and switched to LED a couple years ago. There are advantages and disadvantages to each, but either way you will be able to SEE the road at night.
