essex got bought by hudson ,then amc bought hudson, then chrysler bought amc..... ??

    Essex was originally set up as a separate company by Hudson. The corporate officers were all Hudson corporate officers.

    Hudson and Nash merged in 1954 to form AMC. Then Chrysler bought AMC

    No Fiat did not buy Chrysler, the US Govt gave Chrysler to Fiat.

    Essex Was never a separate company. All the data plates on the fire wall read Hudson Essex.

    Well you could say that I guess, they (Fiat) paid about 3 Billion I think was. Not much for an auto company these days
