Hydra-Matic compatibility question.

Which Hydra-Matics units work in a 54 Hornet? From what other Models/years? GM cars? I am looking to replace the DG200. Making a crossmember is no problem.  I would love to put a manual transmission in this car,  looked into 5spd swaps but it appears to be ... not easy.  I would also consider T85 but  would want it to be floor shift. (Not sure if that's even possible).
