Wiring on 1950 hudson

I have a problem with my coil wire. It does not get power, when I turn my key switch on. I had to wire a switch to the coil to make it work. On my key switch the center connection is hot, and the other two connections, go to the heater fan and the other go to the starter button. Where does the coil wire get its power? I had a short in the wiring then it has not been right. I may have moved some wire to the wrong place...Help

The wiring diagram shows circuit no. 13 (black) going straight from the coil terminal of the ign. sw. to the coil. Have you checked for voltage at the switch terminal? If there is none then your switch is faulty.0
