Anyone running 225/70/R15s on their step down?

According to the tire size comparison calculator, 70s would be 3% smaller in diameter and height than 75s. At only 3% difference I wonder if one could even tell on a street car.0

Recommend power steering if you go to larger tires. I run 235 but have PS on the '53

Richard how do you get 235s on the back? A 225 is a tight fit.0

Have never had a problem; doesn't rub at all {either side}; tight putting on tho. I sling in curves some also since I have a 1.125" ft HD antisway bar and good panhard bushings: FUN. Have never changed on road, but have 2 jacks. Too old to lift the heavy wheel anyway, seriously-84!
I recommend NOT to go over 225, even w/PS; tires were on car when I got it.
Not sure 235 would work on just any Hudson~~but for doubters: no problem on mine.
