Not cheap but it's a start.
NOS transmissions are still around, if you know where to look. Meanwhile, you might settle for used wiper motor and have it rebuilt. The danger of course is, that used ones may already be warped inside and be useless. NOS motors are still around, in the box, and pop up once in awhile. Find the Trico number for yours, then you have the advantage when someone's selling them but hasn't any idea what they fit.0 -
I believe 1937 to 39 are similar and can be used. Differences are small. LH and RH ones are different. Easy to install an electric motor to drive the arms. Email me in a few weeks if you cant find any in the USA. ozhudsonatgmail.com0

Actually, I think I have a pair of 1940 transmissions on my 1937 right now, so maybe that gives you yet another year of interchange. I bought them N.O.S. at an H-E-T flea market many years ago. They're identical with 1937 except that they have small threaded holes in the sides, for the insertion of windshield washer nozzles. I found and installed the nozzles. I have also accumulated the large glass jar that holds the fluid and the pushbutton for the dashboard, so now all I need is the time to install the washer system. (I relish the concept of a 1937 Terraplane with "factory" windshield washers!)0

As far as I know an older 6V VW motor ,2 speeds can be modified to replace the vacuum motor.

Thank you. The item on Ebay does not have the same part numbers that I can make out. Maybe I am wrong?0

Gents,
Purchased a NOS 1939 Hudson "Right Hand" wiper transmission (see below).
Just need to find the "Left Hand" one now!
Many thanks to Jon for his kind assistance.
Maybe one of the members has a Left hand unit?
Cheers,
