Milled Cast Iron 308 Cylinder Head

I'm selling a cast iron 308 cylinder head that was originally on a '54. It's been milled to 1.965" to raise the compression. I'll take $50 for it. Send me your Zip Code for a UPS quote.

    Very observant!
  • I don’t see anywhere that says Minnesota, even when I click on his name

On the license plate of the car in front of it on the driveway it says "Land of Ten Thousand Lakes" along the bottom. It took a pretty sharp eye and a knowledge of state mottos, but Richard D got it!
  • Oh I do see it now and I’ve known their moto. Was to focused on the Hudson part to see anything else.

Our other motto is "Le toile du nord" Which is French for the "Star of the north", or the North star state. Why two mottos? I don't know, but I'm surprised that one of them isn't Swedish.
  • Ok cool. If I was closer it go get it. Probably be $40-50 freight

If you give me your zip code I'll give a better idea, but I think you're pretty close on you estimate.

Might fit the long large flat rate box? $22.65
  • The business zip is 79404. I do t think it has to wrapped at all, maybe shrink wrapped.

I would think twice about shipping it USPS!  The last Hudson Head I shipped that way disappeared and was never found.
  • Sounds good James.

I'd also think twice about shipping via UPS!  I've lost three items sent by that company.  Admittedly, they were quick to pay for the cost of the lost items, but that's little consolation when it comes to things that are hard to replace.

This head is still available, but it weighs 48 lbs. which is expensive to ship.

Just to clarify, this stock cast iron head which is normally 2" thick has had 0.035" shaved off of it to raise compression. This, in theory, gives you higher compression without the erratic expansion of an aluminum head. At least that's what I've been told.
