Hudson 8 transmission swap for Speedster

Hello,  I am a new member of the Hudson club.  I am building a 1922 Hudson Speedster using a 1947 8 eng/ 3sp trans.  Can I bolt on a earlier floor shift transmission?.  If so I am looking to buy one. Also my 47 transmission will be for sale.  I am in central OH, thanks for your help and advice.  Don Feeney   F5415F@aol.com

It will bolt up, narrow block 8, 47 and earlier, get a transmission 37 thru 40, Is stronger than 36 earlier,
top cover with floor shift bolt right on.
