Borg Warner 200 Transmission Fluid / Dip Stick Question

My 54 Hudson Hornet with 36,500 miles on the engine most likely is leaking fluid from the front seal of the transmission. I guess it's well known that this can occur if the car sits in storage for any length of time. I went to NAPA and purchased LUCAS Transmission Fix which I’ll try shortly. Ken Cates has a great article on the HUDSON BORG WARNER DG-200 Transmission Dipstick comparison and as my dipstick is incorrectly marked I'll score it to Ken's recommendation. His link for this information is at: https://hudsonrestoration1948-54.com/Borg Warner DG-200 Dipstick Change Bulletin.pdf
Question: Is the dipstick read with the fluid hot or cold?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The reading is made after driving and heating up the transmission fluid. Then the transmission is placed in Drive with brake on to obtain the reading. Cheers Ken0
