Carb selection
I thought I would post these links as carbs and Hudson's seem to be a common point of debate. I believe this site is no longer being updated and has not been for some time. However, the info here is a common resource for inline 6 guys and not just Fords, that was the primary purpose of the site.

I really like that site, it helped me swap carbs on my 65 Ford Falcon. It brings up some really good points that most people don’t think of like giving an engine too much air.(I like to boast about this a little but I swapped the carb on my ford from the autolite 1100 to a Holley 1904(comet model) and jumped up fuel economy from 16 to 22 in town )
That page helped me to make that decision as to as to do and what no to do.
Thanks for bringing this up!
