46 Pickup seat question

Can anyone tell me how the seat is supposed to be mounted in a 46 P/U?
I removed mine and found it was set pins mounted on wooden rails that were bolted to the floor of the truck. The seat has a wooden frame that is hinged to allow the seatback to recline as the seat is set further forward on the pins.
Is this the stock setup?
