Combustion chamber design
Back when I first posted the combustion chamber designs for Hudson heads, there were some questions as to the validity of a traditional, "bathtub" chamber design and the Rudy and Chuck Vortex design. I had not thought about it in a while until today when I was watching an episode of Engine Masters on Motortrend TV's youtube channel. I like these guys as they do the real tests that most of us lack the funds to carry out.
Anyway here is the photo of the Twin Vortex head chamber and the Clifford head chamber
:
Here on Enginemasters they make a comment about combustion chamber design. Obviously, they are working on an OHV V8, but the chamber design is still important. Also, for everyday driving it also does not matter, but if you want power it does!

Thanks for sharing. Believe it or not, we've learned a lot about engines in 70+ years!
