Ive seen chrysler 300s cheap...I never will but thought those would be nice with all computers gone and replaced with a carbureted engine  and manual trans of some kind.

There are kits out there that allow you to convert an LS engine to carbs. I think they make them for Hemi as well. They're aimed at people putting modern engines in older bodies. The big problem with a modern body is all the CANBUS controlled accessories. Without the computer on many modern bodies, things like the radio and turn signals won't even function.

Cool thing now is that there are aftermarket ECUs available to take care of the CANBUS etc. issues.

Some of the guys running the Vortec 4200 are starting to use the ECU Master Black.   It allows for a lot more control than Megasquirt - e.g. sequential fire instead of batch fire the fuel injectors, etc.  It also allows control of the variable valve timing.

I can see that. Megasquirt is a bit dated now and the UI seems really dated.
