35 H8 front fender badges

The project's front fenders each came with a matching pair of holes which I assumed were for mounting H8 badges so I left the holes there.
Now all the major stuff is done I've turned my mind to the badges.
But looking at photos of various 35 H8s on line none of them have front fender badges, was 36 the first year for front fender badges?

These fender badges were only used on the 36 and 37 on the big cars. Somebody installed them later. Carl0

Hmm, maybe fender badges from a later year were fitted.
I know the 2 fixing studs on the 36 badges are horizontal, I have 2 vertical holes which I would prefer to use.
Does anyone know the stud layout on 37/8/9 badges?
Thanks in advance.0 -
