Mechanical Brake System Springs

Does anyone have these springs I think there are 3 or 4 , I don’t know what the look like if someone has them in their parts bin could you lay them out and take a photo of them,or some pics. Of them in a manual that I can get .Thanks John

  • You can buy new drum brake hardware kits at Napa. It includes all the springs, pins, keepers and adjusters.

    There not on the wheels they are underneath the car by the master cylinder. There’s either 3 or 4 I don’t have any , They took them off to build a gate or so I was told it’s one of the hazards of buying a field car little things get taken off to use somewhere else. It’s a 52 hornet iam trying to piece it back together. John

  • ACE HDWR has a good selection of these springs. I used some for that purpose.

    Its not too hard to make your own springs with a drill and blocks of wood, plenty of YT vids on the subject. Spring wire comes from Amazon in a range of diameters.
