Yeah, good luck trying to find one of them!0

Allan found an original one and put it in his 42 Commodore Eight. I have one of the newer ones that will go in my 34 Terraplane0

I heard the 3 5/9 reffered to as " Western " gears , for states with no hills0

I found a 4:1 ratio for my 1924H. Better than the standard 4:45. You may have heard me shouting with joy. I bought 6 diffs to find it. Have bought eight 30's diffs but no luck yet with a good ratio.0

Not being too familiar with the '31 Essex drivetrains, I'm amazed by the 5.89 ratio at the other end of the spectrum.0

What about the 6-1/9th ratio available as an option for the 1928 Essex? Ostensibly for mountainous terrain!0

Wow! That would definitely get you up the mountain....but it might take a while to get to town.0

The upside is you'd never need to use your brakes going downhill!
