Head bolt tensioning

Can any one tell me is there any correct sequence to tighten the head bolts down on the Essex super6 so they are even, any help would be appreciated

Start at the centre and work outwards in a star pattern. No more than 40 lbs. If you want to use a torque wrench you will have to remove the water manifold, otherwise use a short ring spanner and common sense. Re-tighten when hot.0
