lostmind, no problem. I have a bunch more I need to get cleaned up and posted. I have a request, I’ve been in search of any inside or at this point maybe I might find an outside picture I haven’t seen of Paul Motors, a Sacramento, Ca dealer that was on the corner of Franklin Blvd and Broadway
Here is my dad’s old hardtop that he put together in the late 60’s that is outside of Paul Motors when it was Original Paint and Equipment0 -
And the sponsor on the side of that car, Les Carb Co. was my grandfather who drove a Hudson from just before it was California legal until months before he passed away.0

Paul, post them where ever you see fit. I’ve been looking for some personal pics of Arnold Brothers which was in Sacramento, Ca. When they were remodeling the building to turn it into a restaurant/bar they uncovered some of the original dealer logos and signs that had been lost to progress/modernization. A family friend who knew that I along with my father and grandfather drove Hudson’s, got the call to come down but we better hurry cause they are not holding up construction over plaster and paint that doesn’t make them $$$. I tried to get my 49 Super 6 inside but short of a crane to pick it up it wasn’t happening. It was pretty cool what a little water on a sponge could do to those old colors, they(in my eyes) came alive. Since then I’ve only ate there once and yes it was good Mexican food but it didn’t feel right knowing what was lost to make way for redevelopment of one of OUR dealerships.0

Here is a pic above the front entrance, some details are saved because it is a historical building.0

Hey Andrew, any idea why the sedans pictured in the Schwing motors image have off-color doors and writing? Are those some kind of program car or advertisement?0
-
-
As far as I can tell it’s advertising that the new Stepdown is in their showroom.0

This is George Barrris’ 1941 Buick that he had customized in the late 40’s. Pic was taken at Stan’s Drive-in on 16th and K street in Sacramento. But the real gem is in the background
