Hudson 8 compression value

Probably around 100 p.s.i., but remember there are differing factors to take into account. Valve seating, tappet clearance, piston ring sealing, oil thickness, engine temperature, cranking speed etc. If your compressions are all equal, and the engine is not burning oil, you don't have anything to worry about.0

My 37 Hudson 6 cylinder had around 75psi. After new valves, guides & piston rings it was around 115psi after around 350 break in miles.0

Thank you for your information. It gives me a base to judge my used engine.
