52 Canadian Super Wasp Kick down switch.
Hi All:
Hope someone on the forum might be able to shed some light on the position of the kick-down switch for B/Warner O/d.
After a couple of months of cleaning up the old girl, we found the remains of the kick down switch wrapped up behind the Wiper motor. Took up the floor carpet around the gas pedal, no hole under the pedal although there is one about 2 inches in front of the pedal.
Could the kick-down have been installed amongst the gas pedal linkage??
I admit fully to not being the brightest mechanic on the block but not sure if this is me, or the result of a prior mechanic getting his or her hands in there.
Thanks for any advise.

"no hole under the pedal although there is one about 2 inches in front of the pedal."
Not sure what you are saying, but the OD kickdown button is pushed when the gas pedal is in the wide open position, pretty much at the end of its travel.
So it could theoretically be mounted anywhere around the pedal (top end?, middle? hinge end?) just as long as it pushes the button at wide open throttle.0
