Can’t see my shift indicator

Hi guys has anyone fitted a new bulb to the shift indicator on a 1954 Hudson hornet with hydromatic box I can’t find any info in the manual when it’s dark I can’t see where the indicator is pointing not a big deal but would be nice to have that light working! Thanks Barry

If memory serves me, there is a little chrome cap that unscrews. The bulb is under it.

Yes found it guess you have to remove the horn ring to get the bulb in !

My manual doesn’t show how to get horn ring out any ideas I don’t want to brake it ?

Might have to pull the entire steering wheel on a 54 to get access. The horn ring comes off by pushing and twisting (counter clockwise I think).
