10" Clutch cork thickness?

in "How To" - Skills, mechanical and other wise
on a 46 10" clutch disc what is the correct thickness? 
I read on an older thread .210" max thickness and .180" min thickness before replacement.
Is this overall thickness from cork face to cork face or is it the exposed height of the cork on each side of the disc?
