More carb help needed - can anyone tell where this goes?
I am slowly rebuilding my carburetor (see post recently), but as I was dismantling it I tipped it upside down and this little brass thing like a small needle valve fell out. I didn't see where it came from, so can anyone please help? There is a hole in the top that it might go into - I have taken some pix of it in there. I am also not sure which way round it goes in, but I guess pointy bit first?

It is a pump check needle / discharge check needle. Pointy bit goes in first. You correct in your placement. See images.0

Thanks very much - much appreciated! I had a feeling it must be there, but the mechanical procedure manual doesn't seem to say so (unless I have missed it!). Your diagrams are very helpful - thanks again0
