Transmission and Rear Axle Oils - 1934 Hudson

I'm about to do a complete change of the oils in the transmission and rear axle of my '34 H8.

I know that I have to use yellow metal friendly oils but I don't know if I need to use classic EP (Extreme Pressure) or classic non-EP - which is it ?

I don't use the car when the temperature is less than 40F, so can I use summer spec SAE oils all year round ?

Advice would be greatly appreciated, please !

David.

EP additives with certain sulphurs are very bad for yellow metals. GL-4 oils are yellow metal safe

I do not change transmission or differential oils with seasonal temp changes.

    Thank you, Tom.

You can get yellow metal safe EP oil here in the UK so I just wanted to check whether I needed it, but it seems I don't.

Is GL-1 oil OK as well ?

GL-1 is compatible with gearboxes that contain yellow metals

    Thank you again, Tom.

I'm guessing I'll be safe using this one for the transmission and the axle ?
