The All California meet is coming up next month. The dates are Sept. 13th - 15Th (Fri., Sat., Sun.). Many of us drive in on Thursday. This is usually a very well attended meet, without a tremendous amount of formal structure. It's done that way by design. It's supposed to be a relaxing, stress free weekend. There is always a small swap meet with a dozen or so vendors, and the Nor.Cal. chapter typically puts on a wine and cheese tasting activity in the parking lot. Nor Cal usually provides a hot dog lunch for anyone who wants to partake as well... I haven't confirmed that this is happening this year, but I will update here as details come in. Over the years, we have had members make the trek from Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Texas, and Illinois. Hearst Castle is just a few miles away, and tours are available there... It's a "must see" at least once.

The host hotel is about 1/4 mile from the beach, and it is typically much much cooler there than where we are coming from, so it is a very welcome relief from the heat.

If you are looking for an excuse to come to the left coast, this is it.
