Engine numbers

I have two big 6s that I know aren’t 308s, bc of the lack of rib on the block but the stamped engine numbers both start w 501. Are these 232, from a ‘50 Pacemaker? I was told one was a rebuilt 262, the other is in a ‘51 C6. Possible replacement?

Starting numbers for Super six 1950 are 501101 and for Pacemaker is 500101 - the 501 is 262 and 500 is 232. Gert
