What is the best grade of gasoline for my stock 54 Hudson Hornet

I've been using 87 octane gas and added Insted O'Lead Gold additive. I add one, 12 ounce bottle that treats up to 21 gallons of fuel. Is anyone going to a higher octane in their cars?
Thanks!

As a long time, Hornet owner with the cylinder head of many times I have never seen any signs of degrade by not having leaded gas run thru the engine. Hudson has hardened chrome alloy blocks and do not have issues. I see no need for supplements. I have always used regular gasolene, and higher grades are only needed when the engine is modified for high performance.
